Then, you will be told that the company has set some standards and your product must comply to these standards in order for them to sell it.

The problem is that, no matter how good your products might be, they will never be able to meet the standards set by the company. You see, they have no real interest in the products that you make. They're only interested in the money that you gave them when you first started out. So what you got from your $40 is a bunch of useless textual materials plus products which you will have to sell yourself if you want to get some rumination for all your hard work and wasted time.
