What to do When you Have Sweating Feet
from:Sweating feet, which is a problem that is known medically as Plantar Hyperhidrosis, can pose serious problems on the person that it affects. Shoes can be ruined, sandals cannot be worn, and foot odor and fungal infections can become seriously problematic. Sweating feet can even lead to more intimate problems, such as marital problems and difficulties in the work place. It is really a problem that can take a hold of your life and make you feel miserable and depressed.
About Sweating Feet
Sweating feet happens when there is excessive perspiration on the sole of the foot and between the toes, and is actually a very common problem around the world. In some cases it is related to mental stress and nervousness, especially in adolescents and young adults, however systemic diseases such as anemia and hyperthyroidism may also be associated with the sweating feet problem.
Treatment
When it comes to treatment, you need to first try the simpler methods that are available, and then work your way up to the more serious ones if you need to. Your excessive perspiration may be improved by doing a few things, including soaking your feet in warm water, wearing absorbent socks or hose, avoiding synthetics such as nylon and orlon, changing socks or hose a few times during the day, wearing leather shoes and avoiding those made of synthetics, and using an absorbent food powder.
If none of these things seem to be making an improvement, then you need to find more serious methods of treatment. Stubborn cases need to be treated by your podiatrist, who will most likely recommend that you use prescription medications, if all other methods have failed, of course.
If you do not yet have a podiatrist then you absolutely need to get yourself one, as podiatrists are medical practitioners who diagnose and treat disorders of the human foot and leg. They often recognize systemic disease, by its manifestation in the foot, and they are thus the medical professionals that you want to seek if you have a foot sweating problem.
Although a sweating problem of any sort can be incredibly damaging to your self-esteem and self confidence, it is important to remember that there is treatment available and that you can get help for your problem, so you should never feel helpless or alone or as though there is never going to be any solution for your sweating problem because this is completely untrue.
